Motion
The first project we did here in Photography was Motion. We had to capture motion using a small or large F stop. I like this photo because it captured Colton coming off the swing just at the right time and about to land on the ground.
Depth of Field
This photo was used for the project Depth of Field. I used the swing as the main subject and then the trash can and trees in the background to be blurry so your main focus was the swing. I enjoyed it because it kind of gave the photo an eerie look, kind of sad and lonely.
Thirds
In our third project, we focused on the Rule of Thirds. Where your main focus doesn't have to be in the center of your photo, it's actually ideal that you put your main focal point someone outside of the center. In this photo my main focus was the step, its to the left of the center. Then the background is blurred out to make the step the first place your eyes go, then they kind of drift out.
Lines
The lines project was were we had to go out and take photos of lines you found in daily life. Take for example the doorway, the doors are vertical lines, along with the metal post and the people. Then the top of the doorway is a horizontal line with the floor taking you deeper into the photo. I feel like this photo has a burned feel, its so light and cheery on the other side but before that you have to take a step.
Perspective
In our latest project, we focused on perspective. Getting things from different angles and seeing how they come together. So you might get something from the front, back, side, above it and below it. Those are all ways of perspective to help people see things a different way.
